All By Myself

Nene: "Mama, when I'm 18 years old I can drive all by myself."
Mama: "That's entirely possible..."
Nene: "I could drive MY car all by myself."
Mama: "Really? Which car is yours?"
Nene: "The red car is my car."
Mama: "...and it's Daddy's car, and it's Mama's car, and it's The Boy's car. It's the whole family's car. How is everyone else going to get to work or school?"
Nene: *shrug* "I don't know, but I could drive myself!"

Play?

The Boy: "Go... Nene!"
Mama: "You want to go see Nene at school?"
The Boy: "Yeah. Go Nene school."
Mama: "Well, that's exactly what we're going to do. We're going to Nene's school to see her."
The Boy: "Play?"
Mama: "Yes, you can play when we get there."
The Boy: *ear-piercing squeal* "Yay! Yeahyeahyeahyeah Yay!!!"

A Slight Change of Format

Though I am very fond of this blog, I've realized that we don't post nearly enough content here. So, in addition to our parental grumblings, I'd like to start posting some of our kids' achievements and funny moments in here. As always, we appreciate your comments and thoughts, just be sure to keep in mind that this blog is designed for our children to read at a later date.
